LIBRARY AND INFORMATION CENTRE

  • All the students of the college are members of the library.
  • The library will be kept open on all working days from 9-00 a.m to 3.15 p.m
  • Borrowing books from the library will be permitted by ticket system. The library ticket is not transferable and books cannot be borrowed on behalf of others.
  • Students are entitled to keep a book for one week from the date of issue if the books are not returned on or before the due date a fine of Re.1.00 per day , and Rs. 2.00 per day per books will believed for the next 10 days . The students will not be allowed to use the library till the fine is paid and books are rtturned. Absence from the college will not be accepted as an excuse for delay in the return of books.
  • Reference boods cannot be taken out of the college. NO one is allowed to sublend the books taken by him/her to others.
  • The same book once issued to a strdent will not be issred once again to him within a period of two weeks . Howevers , the same books may be issred if there is no reservation for it.
  • Students may read magazine, periodicals and newspapers in leisure hours but are not allowed to take them home.
  • Any payments including fines shall be paid in the college office and the receipt should be shown to the librarian.
  • Silence shall be observed at all times in the library.

  • The librarian may recall any book at anytime even when normal period of loan has not expired.

SPORTS AND GAMES

Play ground is situated within the college campus. Facilities are available to play volleyball, cricket,football, badminton,carrom,chess and athletics.

With a view of developing a sense kof team spirit and toencourage a spirit of healthy environment extra – mural competitions and sports meet are organised for the students Intra – Mural competitions are conducted annually.

Each Department will have its own association.

All the students of college are members of one or more of the associations. The objects of the association are :


  • To afford opportunities to the members to train themselves in the art of public speaking,parliamentary practice, etc.,
  • To take interest and discuss social, economic and cultural problems.
  • To cultivate their aesthetic talents.
  • The object shall be attained by conducting meetings, debates, elocution and oratoral contest, symposia, quiz programmes, cultural programmes etc.,
  • The best student of each class will be the representative of the association. The representative of the final year will function as secretary of the association. A membership fee will be collected from each students.
  • The principal will be the president and the H.O.D./ Senior most staff of the department will be the vice president.

ATTENDENCE

Attendance is compulsory for the students.

FEES

  • Tution fees should be paid within the specified period.
  • Tuition fees for the first year UG/PG courses should be paid fully in one instalmint at he time of admission together with all the specified special fees. All the fees repuired to be paid to University of Madras shall be collected at the time of admission and also the following years as prescribed from time to time.
  • Tuition fees, special fees, etc. once paid will not be refinded.
  • Tuition fees payable fot thesecond and third year shall be accepted either in full one instalment or in two instalments. All other fees including special fees will be accepted only inone instalment.
  • The fees shall be paid on or before the tenth working day in each term.Thereafter the fees with a late fees wil be accepted upto another ten days i.e.upto the 20th working day in each term. Fees will be collected at the rate of Rs.10/- per day.
  • The names of defaulters removed from the rolls shall be redmitted on payment of the tuition fees arrears together with the late fee.

  • The rules regarding payment of fees are applicable to all the students including scholarship holders.
  • Students leaving in the middle of the course should pay the fees of the entire course as they cause an irrevicable perment vacancy of seats in the particulars course.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Government scholarships are available annually to eligible students belonging to SC/ST . They are tenable for the period of the entire course on condition that their character, conduct and academic records continue to be satisfactory. Disbursements of the scholarship amount will be made only to those students who have a record of 90% attendeance as per the government order.

Transports facilities are available from Chennai, Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Thiruporur, Mammallapuram, Kalpakkam, Sadras, Pudupattinam , Maduranthagam,etc., And also our college provides Bus/ Van facilities form various places.

Amenities with regard to the academic activities of the college including Library.Laboratory infrastructure,Play grouds, Canteen etc., have been sufficiently privided. Hostel facilites are available for the men students of wut college. It will be extended to the women student of our college. It will be extanded to the women students also on demand.
