The anti-drug committee was established to ensure a drug-free campus by outlawing all drug and alcohol usage and possession by college students both within and outside of the campus and hostels.

The committee is formed to inculcate the awareness to the students regarding the ill- effects of drugs and alcohol, encouraging peer policing among students against the use of drugs and reporting of any noticed use of drugs by the students to the Anti-Drug Committee / Students Welfare Office are also the duties of the committee.

It aims to develop a network of active individuals who identify with, support, and promote the anti-drug cause. They would focus on becoming a third party voice for NCADA-related activities, generating community awareness and involvement. The network has two categories – youth advocates and adult advocates.

Objectives

To raise awareness about the importance of a substance-free school.

To involve students in anti-drug campaigns and inform them of the negative impacts.

To inspire the students to participate as volunteers in anti-drug initiatives in their daily lives.

To completely outlaw the sale and use of all narcotics.
