The department of Physical education and sports is member of the University of Madras tournament and sports committee. The committee was divided into two zones namely “A” Zone and “B” Zone. The institution is participated under the “A” Zone Tournament and sports committee activities. From Zone matches winning team and combined team of both zones will clash for the university team selection. The selected players are representing for the Madras University team to participate in the South Zone/All India inter Collegiate tournaments.

To Identify the young talented sports person, the department is conducting an intramural competition every year. Intramural tournaments are conducted in the house format namely Blue, Green, Red and Yellow House. More than 10 sports and games are conducted for both categories as per event listed below. The Individual and team championship trophy will be given based on scoring system.
